CO-GISTIC Final event and demonstration

The University of Trieste and Polytechnic of Bari organized the CO-GISTICS FINAL EVENT AND DEMONSTRATION, which took place on 8th and 9th June 2017 in Trieste.

The CO-GISTICS project is the first European project fully dedicated to the deployment of cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) focused on logistics. In CO-GISTICS, 5 services are deployed in 7 European logistics hubs: Arad (Romania), Bordeaux (France), Bilbao (Spain), Frankfurt (Germany), Thessaloniki (Greece), Trieste (Italy) and Vigo (Spain). CO-GISTICS is funded under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).

The opening session was at the Maritime Station of Trieste, including presentations by public authorities and private. Project results was presented as well as discussions on the exploitation and future developments of CO-GISTICS.

The activities and developments of the CO-GISTICS project are strictly connected to other project as the newborn project PRIN SPORT.

A live demonstration of C-ITS logistics services in action showed a preview of the project final results after three years of work and a mini demo was a great opportunity to show the services in an urban area such as the centre of Trieste.
